A federal judge has sentenced action star Wesley Snipes to three years in prison on tax charges.
Prosecutors had requested three years, one year for each of Snipes’ convictions of willfully failing to file a tax return.

Snipes’ lawyers offered three dozen letters from family members, friends and even fellow actors Woody Harrelson and Denzel Washington attesting to his good character. They argued he should get only probation, because all three convictions were misdemeanors and the actor had no previous criminal record.

A second British immigration judge has shot down the ban on Snoop entering the U.K., so you guys lads on the other side of the pond can expect to see Calvin crip walking off a British Airways flight real soon.

Senior immigration judge George Warr ruled that evidence had not been overlooked and there had been no material error of law in the January hearing.

Snoop’s lawyer, Phillip Trott, told a newspaper: “It has been an appalling waste of public money to pursue this man.

“It is outrageous that the Government is trying to exclude someone who is an innocent figure and has frequently spoken against gang culture and youths carrying guns.”
